Launched in the 2025–2026 academic year, the International German Math Olympiad provides a rigorous and stimulating platform for talented students worldwide to develop, demonstrate, and further advance their mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

About Results and Evaluation 

  • Teachers who have students registered under their accounts can download those students' results individually via the Teacher Panel.
  • The top 10 students have been announced on the German Math Olympiad official Instagram and Facebook accounts. (@germanmathorg)
  • Exam questions and answers will be published as Past Papers in the upcoming season.
  • Individual exam results (which questions a student answered correctly or incorrectly) cannot be shared.
  • The top 3 students in each grade will receive medals and hard copy certificates by mail. Shipments will start after March. An email will be sent to 27 students asking for their postal addresses.
  • Students who are not in the top 3 but won a GOLD Medal will not receive a medal by mail. They are also not eligible for any Grand Final discount.
  • Students who are not in the top 3 will not receive medals or certificates by mail. They can download digital achievement certificates from their student panel. These certificates include a QR code to verify them.
  • If students have the same score, the one who finished faster will get a higher rank. Students with full scores (100 points) are ranked based on how quickly they finished the exam.
  • A total of 265 students’ exams have been invalidated.
  • The results of 61 students are frozen until they provide an explanation.

Mathematics is taught throughout the school following the ‘mastery’ curriculum’s three aims of fluency, reasoning mathematically and problem solving. The intention of this approach is to provide all children with full access to the curriculum, enabling them to achieve confidence and competence – ‘mastery’ – in mathematics.
