The Hi-Lingua Essay Challenge is a free, online writing competition for students worldwide in Grades 6–11. It offers young writers the opportunity to showcase their creativity, English proficiency, and critical thinking skills.
Conducted under secure, standardized exam conditions, students write an essay in response to prompts revealed at the start of the test. The challenge promotes strong writing skills, thoughtful self-expression, and provides a fair, global platform for emerging voices.
The Hi-Lingua Language Grand Final, held in Frankfurt with 660 participants from 47 countries, has been successfully completed
with an award ceremony at Goethe University. We would like to sincerely thank the students' families and teachers for their support
throughout the Grand Final process.
The Hi-Lingua Language Grand Final 2027
will be held in BARCELONA.
