The International History Olympiad is a biennial celebration of history attended by the best primary and secondary school history students from around the world, featuring competitions, field trips, social activities, and much more. It is held in odd-numbered summers; thus the next Olympiad will be held in 2027.
The 2025 International History Olympiad was held from July 20-26 in Paris with Ecole Jeannine Manuel as the host school. 432 Competing Students attended, representing 61 affiliations (24 countries, 3 regions, and 34 US states)
The inaugural International History Olympiad was held in Williamsburg, VA in 2015 and the second Olympiad was held in Honolulu in 2016. The 3rd Olympiad was held in Berlin in 2018, the 4th Olympiad was held in Princeton, NJ & New York City in 2022, the 5th Olympiad was held in Rome in 2023, and the 6th Olympiad was held in Paris in 2025
