Overview

Competition details

Understand what this Olympiad focuses on, who it’s for, and what to expect.

The International Music Olympiade (IMuO) is aimed to promote music education and creativity in music among European pre-university students, and facilitate international contacts between young musicians. The idea of organizing the International Music Olympiad was born in Estonia in 2012 and in the same year the 1st IMuO was held in Tallinn.

The International Music Olympiad (IMuO) is organized in every two years as a competition for students of general comprehensive primary and secondary education and is a competition amongst individuals. The competition is open for countries from Europe and beyond.

A Country’s Contestants should be citizens or residents of that Country and should be selected through the Country’s National Music Olympiad or equivalent selection programme. Contestants must be enrolled in full-time comprehensive education on the year of the Olympiad.

The Regulations of the Olympiad are published on the website of the organizing country.

Countries participating in IMuO accept the responsibility of organizing the competition themselves at some point of time.

Sports have been a part of human civilization for centuries, evolving from simple tribal games to the complex, highly competitive, and globally followed events we see today. While many view sports as just a form of entertainment or a way to keep fit, their true significance extends far beyond the field of play. Sports, in all their forms, have a profound impact on society, culture, and the individual, shaping lives, building communities, and even influencing nations. In this blog post, we will explore the many dimensions of sports, including their psychological, social, and cultural impact, as well as how they transcend mere competition to foster unity, resilience, and personal growth.

London’s a sprawling city at the center of everything: art, history, culture—you name it. But what sets it apart from other major hubs are its distinct neighborhoods, each with their own vibe. Spend an afternoon with the fam in Kensington: It’s got museums, parks, and plenty of other kid-approved things to do. Or check out edgy Shoreditch for cool shops and street murals (perfect for photo ops), then head to Soho where you can grab a pint at a pub or hit a club and party ‘til dawn. Food’s a big deal here: Yes, there’s fish and chips, but also next-level curry houses thanks to London’s thriving Bangladeshi community (take your pick from tons of spots on Brick Lane), plus a growing roster of celebrity chef-driven restaurants in posh Mayfair. There’s always something new going on and we’ve got more recs, below.
