Kenya Mathematical Olympiad is a high school competition that aims to select the Kenyan teams to the International Mathematical Olympiad and the Pan African Mathematical Olympiad. The first round is conducted at the schools. The first round consists of the Junior and the Senior category. The top 200 students in the senior category and the top 100 students in the Junior category will be invited for the second round.

Mathematics is taught throughout the school following the ‘mastery’ curriculum’s three aims of fluency, reasoning mathematically and problem solving.
